00/hour with Flexible schedule JOB SUMMARY The Youth Peer Advocate position will function as a member of the Prevention Department at the McCall Behavioral Health Network.
The peer advocate will be a key member of the Partnerships for Success 2023 underage drinking prevention initiative within the town of Southbury.
The position is paid at a rate of $18 an hour with an allotment of 8 hours per week.
Days and hours are flexible.
The Youth Advocate will report to the Director of Prevention Services and PFS Coordinator.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALITIFCATIONS:
Resident of Southbury or Middlebury, CT or are a Region 15 student.
Between the ages of 16 and 24 Strong interest in substance abuse prevention.
Excellent communication skills.
Must display interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations, including but not limited to youth, schools, law enforcement and community leaders.
